At the center of our work is NARM therapy – a mindful, body-focused approach to trauma. We combine psychotherapeutic support with body awareness, mindfulness, and relational experience to help you reconnect with yourself – more authentically, more connected, and more alive.

If you wish, osteopathy can also be included as a supportive, body-based approach. Together, psychotherapy and bodywork create a holistic path to healing.

We look forward to welcoming you to our practice in Berlin-Pankow.

WHEN IS NARM USEFUL?
Common reasons for a visit

The symptoms mentioned are just a selection of possible applications. Our treatments are individually tailored to the patient and their specific symptoms. Many people seek NARM support to understand and regulate emotional patterns, stress reactions, and attachment experiences.

Typical topics in NARM therapy :

Emotional & Mental Well-being

NARM can support people suffering from emotional stress, old relationship patterns, or unexplained feelings. The method helps regulate inner tension, strengthen self-esteem, and build greater emotional stability—without overwhelming the individual. Typical issues can include:

Attachment Trauma and Early Childhood Imprints

Experiences from early childhood can unconsciously shape how we see ourselves, how we feel, and how we relate to others. NARM helps to recognize old patterns, build inner safety, and experience new forms of connection.

Chronic Stress, Burnout, Inner Restlessness

When the body is constantly “on high alert” or exhaustion doesn’t go away, NARM supports the regulation of the nervous system, helps reduce stress, and allows for more calm and strength to return.

Anxiety or Panic Attacks

Many fears are anchored in the body. NARM works gently with bodily awareness and emotional patterns to understand fears and take away their power—without overwhelming the system.

Depression or Feelings of Inner Emptiness

Emotional numbness, withdrawal, or hopelessness often arise from old, unconscious protective mechanisms. NARM helps reconnect with oneself, feel aliveness again, and slowly open up new perspectives.

Self-Worth Issues and Difficulties in Relationships

When it’s hard to set boundaries, allow closeness, or feel worthy, NARM can support the transformation of inner patterns and help create safer, more authentic relationships.

Our bodies store experiences – especially when stress or emotional strain persists over a longer period. NARM helps to release physical tension, regulate the nervous system, and understand psychosomatic symptoms instead of simply suppressing them.

Typical accompanying symptoms can include:

- Physical tension or strain related to emotional stress

Many people first feel stress in their body – as pressure, muscle tension or tightness in their breathing.
Chronic stress can also manifest physically in symptoms such as bruxism (teeth grinding), irritable bowel syndrome, or (tension) headaches.
NARM helps to release emotional and physical tension patterns and to calm the nervous system sustainably.

- Sleep disturbances or inner restlessness

If falling asleep is difficult or the body cannot rest at night, NARM can help regulate inner tension and stress reactions and allow for more recovery.

- Psychosomatic complaints (e.g., irritable bowel syndrome, headaches, muscle tension)

Body and mind are closely connected. NARM can provide support when symptoms are exacerbated by stress or emotional strain – for example, in cases of digestive problems, tension headaches, or chronic muscle tension.

When the body and nervous system are very tense, or old patterns manifest physically, osteopathy can wonderfully complement NARM work.

Some experiences have a longer-lasting impact than we realize. NARM offers a safe space to process traumatic events, strengthen inner resources, and regain stability. It's not about "rehashing" old experiences, but rather about addressing them with new inner regulation.

Typical topics might include:

- Stressful life events (e.g. separation, loss, accident, traumatic medical experiences/surgeries)

NARM can help process strong emotional stress and find one's footing again when life suddenly changes or becomes overwhelming.

- Processing emotionally stressful birth/cesarean section experiences

For many women, a difficult birth or a cesarean section leaves not only physical but also emotional scars – NARM offers a safe space to process these experiences and regain trust in one's own body.

- Processing other traumatic events

Even if experiences happened a long time ago, they can continue to have an effect on the nervous system – NARM helps to gently release old tensions, fear patterns and inner protection mechanisms.

- Promoting self-regulation, resilience and inner stability

Many people desire less stress, more inner peace and a more stable nervous system – NARM strengthens the ability to regulate stress and feel more confident.

- Support in coping with stress in school, training, studies or work

Especially during performance-oriented phases, NARM can help to reduce pressure, strengthen inner resources, and think and feel more clearly.
